Art gallery

Tangible heritage

The art gallery is set in an old stable that was once used to raise a bull and a few dairy cows. The permanent exhibition contains works by its owner, Tonino Panno, a founding member of Oscata inVita, who creates very distinctive and characteristic figures and characters engaged in everyday activities, using objects recovered from old iron tools and dried tree roots. Tonino Panno's skill with iron and woodwork is highly appreciated by visitors who see the artist immersed in his natural environment, where artistic walls and agricultural tools intertwine to tell the passions, hobbies, and activities of an Oscata resident with incredible craft and artistic abilities.

Tonino Panno's skills in recreating objects from the past, working with wood, cultivating medicinal plants, recognizing their traditional uses, beekeeping, and producing honey are showcased through Oscata inVita's activities to promote the Rural Kitchens of Alta Irpinia.
