Community workshop

Tangible heritage

The workshop is furnished with an old fornacella (small furnaces), an ancient granary, and a cupboard typical of the Rural Kitchens of Alta Irpinia. From a storage room built after the 1980 earthquake in Irpinia, a space was created for the production of sauce, the storage of grain and foodstuffs, maintaining the style of the old rural houses with a single room. The owner made the property available to Oscata inVita to be used for production, educational, and workshop purposes.

For the Rural Kitchens of Alta Irpinia, the workshop represents the place for food production and preservation and for demonstrating the typical activities of the past.
